Worker’s Compensation & Motor Vehicle Accident (CTP) Claims

If you've been injured at work or while commuting in NSW, you may be eligible for psychology treatment under the NSW WorkCover Scheme, Compulsory Third Party (CTP), or Comcare. These programs provide psychological support to help you recover and return to work where appropriate.

Psychological Challenges After a Workplace or Motor Accident

Injuries—whether physical or psychological—can impact your well-being. Common challenges include:

  • Difficulty returning to work
  • Depression, anxiety, or panic attacks
  • Fatigue, poor sleep, or appetite changes
  • Nightmares or flashbacks
  • Trouble adjusting to persistent pain
  • Difficulty focusing or concentrating
  • Irritability, anger, or frustration
  • Feeling tearful or emotionally overwhelmed
  • Lack of motivation, burnout, or exhaustion

If you've sustained a psychological injury or need adjustment-to-injury counselling, your worker’s compensation or CTP insurer may cover your psychological treatment.

How to Access Psychology Services

  1. See Your Doctor – Obtain a WorkCover Certificate of Capacity/Fitness or Comcare medical certificate recommending psychology treatment.
  2. Contact Your Insurer – Request written approval for psychology services.
  3. Book With Us – Contact our practice to schedule an appointment with an accredited Psychologist or Counsellor.

Sessions are billed under current SIRA gazetted rates.

Note: Information from assessments and treatment may be shared with your insurer as part of your claim process.
